The Gem-A 2023 FGA Gemmology and DGA Diamond Diploma Award Ceremony was held on 6th November 2023 at the Goldsmiths' Hall in London. Over 130 graduates from around the world attended this annual diploma award ceremony, all dressed in smart formal attire and some in national dress, with a total of 400 people including family and friends.

The Gem-A 2023 FGA Gemmology and DGA Diamond Diploma Award Ceremony invited Dr. Mok Wai Kei Dominic as one of the guest speakers. Dr. Mok's speech at the ceremony was inspiring and thought-provoking, receiving applause from the entire audience. Dr.Mok also sang a song at the end of his speech, paying tribute to Gem-A and the graduates, which sparked thunderous applause.

Even more exciting news was that the DGA Diamond Diploma global open exam best candidate (world No. 1) was won by Livy Leung, a student of Dr Mok, (AGIL Asian Gemmological Institute & Laboratory), who received both the Button Medal and the Deeks Diamond prize, making this AGIL's sixth world champion.

There were eleven students attending the Gem-A diploma award ceremony this time, including Vivian Wong, who won the world best candidate (world No. 1) title in the 2021 Gemmology global open Theory exam. She is also the fifth world champion of AGIL, and was awarded the Anderson Bank Prize.

Forty years of AGIL，teaching gemmology and spreading the knowledge across the world, achieving six outstanding champions!

The Gem-A 2023 FGA Gemmology Diploma world champion and the DGA Diamond Diploma world champion were both awarded the "Bruton Medal" and the "Deeks Diamond Prize", a total of two awards, making them the focus of the ceremony.

Livy Leung's outstanding performance earned her the "Bruton Medal" and the "Deeks Diamond Prize". The two awards were received on her behalf by Dr. Mok Wai Kei Dominic, Dean of AGIL. He praised and encouraged her, and they took a commemorative photo together. After the other awards and certificates were presented, all the graduates from around the world who had come to the UK to receive their diplomas gathered for a group photo. Everyone was excited and eager, and they all toasted with champagne. In a happy and harmonious atmosphere, they made new friends, exchanged business cards, and chatted.
